I have been practising and studying yoga for 18 years and qualified as a teacher with British Wheel of Yoga in 2012, since then I have taught locally in Shropshire where I live. In addition to a regular teaching schedule I have helped people overcome mobility issues post-surgery and supported physiotherapy for an array of anatomical ailments including hip operations, knee replacements, achilles surgery, frozen shoulder, back pain and hysterectomy. My teaching method has helped with arthritis, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, fibromyalgia and sciatica.
My restorative classes and private sessions have provided relief and support to people with emotional distress, addiction, mental health issues, anxiety, stress and depression. I am experienced in teaching people with PTSD, ADHD and Autism.
I follow the Iyengar principles and have been very much inspired by the teachings of BKS Iyengar, I use yoga props to make the yoga postures accessible to everyone
My style and method of teaching is very much focused on physical alignment, I believe alignment in the body brings alignment to the mind.I strongly believe a regular yoga practice builds mental and emotional resilience, I have personal experience of the benefits yoga can bring, it is truly a holistic way to look after yourself in today’s modern world.
I like to think I inspire my students to go a little bit further each time I teach them. I am extremely grateful for having the opportunity to teach yoga, It has changed my life and I hope I can influence others into making small changes which can be built into a deeper sense of self awareness and a lifelong practice of yoga
